New To Forum Also Have Quick Question - Guild Wars Forums

First I'm new to this forum, and pretty much the game as well, only have about probably around 20hrs of actual game play. Didn't see a new to forum question (or maybe I just didn't look hard enough). Anyways, my question is,
I just purchased Factions using the "store" button at the character select screen, I already have prophecies, but a friend on the game that lives in england asked me if I told it to "merge", I told him that no such message or option came up. Because I was asking him if they were linked, like I could play char types in both games and what not, and he said if you "merged" the games yes, when I get to a certain point in the game.

Any answers are welcomed, preferably friendly ones!

Well, you can just check right now if you have the Factions on it right now, by talking to First Watch Sergio in Lions Arch, he's the skill trainer, and getting the quest that has to do with Brother Mhenlo. If you don't have the ability to move to Factions with your Prophecies character, somethings wrong. Also, go make a new character and check if you can make a Factions character, to make sure you have Factions added to your account. Or you could also check all the keys you added to your account and look for em. Ifall of these don't work... I figure you should go to support on guildwars.com

Yeah I do have factions because I can choose to create a character from that installment at the new char part.
I'm sure I'm really far from Lions Arch, out of what game play I do have, keep on trying to find a character that is fun to play with, right now I'm trying an Elem/Mes and just left as I call it the "training area".

I *think* that the games purchased from the store automatically merge them with your existing account. Wasn't that posted somewhere as an advantage of the store, no screw ups like this?

Well, its fine now, that means Factions was added to your account so there's really nothing to worry about.

Btw:Lion's Arch is after the northern shiverpeaks (The ice region on the north of the map)
